Daily application(s) for 4 months now: receding hairline (early 50′s) stopped and mildly reversed. New hairs increasing over time. Also, daily use of saw palmetto supplements. Application becomes a routine eventually. Inexpensive and safe product that works with a large number of users.

I just ordered another 2-year supply, as my previous 2-year supply was just about finished. “Rogaine” is simply the trade name for Minoxidil. And Minoxidil is Minoxidil. So you can get 2 years of Extra Strength (5%) Minoxidil for about $ 100 (4 quantities of the 6-month supply), and not have to worry about the expiration dates. That’s $ 50/year. A great value.
When the reading material says it doesn’t work on the front forhead, just believe that because thats true. Sorry guys. You will totally get hair back on the back of your head. That works. Now for the part where it says if you stop then you will loose the hair. I’m scared to try that theory.
Kirkland seems to carry a very wide variety of products and Minoxidil is one of the products I find to be both economical and useful.
I have been using it for several years now and even at my age (65+) it works quite well. Buying through Amazon is both a pleasant and money saving experience.Although it is not recommended for people of my age and there is little data on the effects for older men, I found this product to both stop hair loss and add more thickness to my thinning hair. I can only say that it works for me. I also recommend the 5% solution for maximum effect. There seems to be many other companies that sell the same products, but I found Kirkland to be very reliable and their products to be of premium quality.
PROS
- I used it in combination with Propecia, and it reversed my hair loss.
- Reasonably priced (unlike Propecia)
- No strange smell (the Rogain foam STINKS, this stuff is odorless)
CONS
- It makes my scalp itch a little bit, and if I scratch, I get this stuff on my hands and have to wash it off
- After applying in the morning, I have to use a towel to dry off my hair or else this stuff will ma it down and make it look like I haven’t washed my hair recently.
RECOMMENDATION
Buy this instead of the Rogaine foam. It’s the same active ingredient, it’s cheaper, and it is odorless. If you have the money, combine with Propecia for best results.

Supplements – How do you know one works?,
It’s hard to qualify the benefits of a supplement unless a person experiences a dramatic difference. When it comes to joints, etc., that can be very difficult to determine. That being said, the supplement seems to work as well as my previous brand. It is definitely, quite a bargain.

I use it and I give it to my 3 elderly dogs (one of them also takes Rimadyl). It helps me and I think it helps them too! I wrap their pills in a bit of cheese (the pills are rather large). If you have trouble swallowing pills, I would recommend trying a smaller pill, but I have no trouble with them. I take 2 per day with the rest of my vitamins after dinner, and I give my dogs one a day (with meals). I’ve been taking glucosamine for about 3 yrs. now and if I am consistent, I don’t have as much trouble with my “trigger finger” thumb, or my wrists, which normally really bother me, especially in the cooler months.

Seems to be a good product. As another review stated, its hard to know sometimes with products like there how much true value there is. I am taking this for myself and also giving it to an arthritic Boxer (dog)
Cheaper at Costco if you are a member. They have frequent coupons to make it a little more than 1/2 the price here.

I like the “completeness” of these. They have a good % of the RDA of the many vitamins & minerals that they provide. Value priced, too! And they don’t taste bad when I crush or chew them (although they are not “chewables”.) The quantity of 400 means that I won’t have to be constantly reordering.

|Makes Sense.,
I’ve been using Kirkland Signature Multi-Vitamins and Minerals for a number of years now. I’ve always been very satisfied with the products, even though it’s a hard thing for an individual to test on any kind of scientific basis. I use them because my diet might not cover all essential ingredients and the vitamin/mineral tablet is a cheap insurance policy in that regard. Plus, Consumer Reports always has the Kirkland Signature brand ranked very high among those available and the cost is among the lowest. The tablets are a little large for swallowing, but I just break them in half with my fingers and the halves are no problem.
Well, it was time to replace the multi-vitamin supply and this time I picked up the Mature Multi. I don’t know that it will make much difference but I’m now 74 and definitely qualify for being a senior. Getting the Mature formulation makes sense.

|Best Deal Around For Multi,
Most people take a multi vitamin these days, even if they take nothing else. But even when choosing a multi it can sometimes be confusing since the ingredient list can be so long, and the amounts of each vitamin and mineral can vary sometimes quite a bit. This big bottle of Kirkland’s signature is just about as complete as you can get, at a truly great price. I have no doubt that there are other multi vitamins out there that have a little more of something in them here and there. But you will have to look close and pay a lot more money for sure. This is a very complete regimen all in one, and the very best multi at the price in my opinion. One thing that this does include in it is Lycopene. An important supplement for older men that is good for both prostrate health, as well as recommended in a good blood pressure program. I take one of these every day, and highly recommended them for your multi vitamin as well…
